Saviour Gama signs a new three-year deal with FC Goa

Goa: Saviour Gama signed a three-year contract thus extending his stay at FC Goa. After an impressive first season as a left-back, the youngster has now dedicated his future to the gaurs by signing a deal until 2024. Gama had became Juan Ferrando’s trustable player on the pitch for this season in the Hero Indian Super League.  His valuable contribution on the left side of the backline has helped FC Goa to secure their fourth successive playoff appearance while the Club got a 15-game unbeaten stack to the end of last season.

The 24-year old Goan is known for his ability in helping the team to move forward. He was able to showcase his talent finishing the season with 1 goal and 3 assists on his name. Joining the club in 2017, Gama climbed the rankings through the developmental team. Debuting in 2018-19 season of ISL, Gama played a major role, thus appearing in the final helping the club to their first silverware with 2019 Super Cup.

Sharing his experience Gama said,  “ To be honest, it feels like home to me. I have felt home because I am in Goa and also because FC Goa has helped me become the player I am today. It has given me the respect that every player wants”. Head coach Juan Ferrando said, “Gama has really impressed me. He is a player who has gotten better throughout the 2020-21 season. He is very comfortable with the ball, which helps the team to build from the back. He is the fighter, who fights for his team every second of the game.”
