Bengaluru FC bid adieu to Harmanjot Khabra and three others

Bengaluru: Indian Super League (ISL) side Bengaluru FC have offloaded their ahead of the upcoming season releasing a few players. The veteran lads Harmanjot Singh Khabra and Dimas Delgado lead the departures with Rahul Bheke and Semboi Haokip following them. All of these four joined the ‘Blues’ back in 2017 when Bengaluru FC made their debut in the ISL while playing an integral role to the title winning campaign in 2019.

Dimas and Khabra were vital cogs in the middle of the park for all these years while the latter even operated from the backline as well last season showing all-round ability of his game. Meanwhile Bheke though made his name as a dynamic full-back for the four season he spent winning 70 caps. His winner for Bengaluru FC in the 2019 ISL final was pinnacle moment his career. Semboi was also a ever present character in the dressing room appearing 38 times for the club.

Bengaluru despite having a formidable squad were unable to qualify for the ISL playoffs for the first time since their debut in 2017 after finishing 7th in the table. It looked like club would opt for a change in the squad under the new coach Marco Pezzaiuoli.
