RB Leipzig sign Alexander Sorloth as replacement for Timo Werner

LEIPZIG: Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have signed Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth from Crystal Palace. As per reports, the deal worth 22m euros for five years with fee being splited between Palace and Turkish club Trabzonspor in which Alexander played last season. He was unveiled by the club on their social media.

The 24 year old Norway international joined Crystal Palace back in 2018 from Midtjylland making just 20 appearances for them before being loaned out to Gent for a season.

His second spell of loan proved to be quite successful as he made his loan move to Turkish side Trabzonspor making 49 appearances in which he scored 33 times as well registering 10 assists while winning 24caps for national side sharing the forward alongside Erling Braut HĆ„aland of Borussia Dortmund whom he will face when the two clubs meet each other in the league.

With Timo Werner moving to Chelsea in the summer, Leipzeig were in need of a replacement and in Sorloth they looked to have found that.
