Kolkata : According to reports, veteran all rounder Ravindra Jadeja is not in the plans of BCCI in future ODIs.

As per BCCI sources, BCCI wants to go on with all rounders like Axar Patel and Washington Sundar. Jadeja is not in the plans for ODIs, especially Champions Trophy 2025.

India dropped Jadeja in the Sri Lanka ODI series.

With only 6 ODIs for India before Champions Trophy, this might be beginning of the end for Jadeja.

BCCI and head coach Gautam Gambhir asked senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to play the Sri Lanka series despite asking for rest. While India rested Jasprit Bumrah , Jadeja was not in the schemes of the team.

“There are only six ODIs, including the three in Sri Lanka, before next year’s Champions Trophy. The selectors want to utilise the handful of games by giving more opportunities to Axar Patel and Washington Sundar”, a BCCI source said.

Jadeja played 197 ODIs, scoring 2756 runs & 220 wickets. He last played an ODI in ICC ODI World Cup Final against Australia. That might prove his last ODI for India.
