Ravindra Jadeja announces retirement from T20I after India’s historic triumph at Barbados.

The all rounder posted his retirement news on Instagram.

“With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals. Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats,” Jadeja posted.

“Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 International career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support. Jai hind,” he added.

As someone who could contribute handy runs besides being effective with the ball, Jadeja made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka way back in 2009.

Primarily hailed for his bowling skills in white-ball cricket, the wily left-arm spinner has scalped 54 wickets in 74 matches, while scoring 515 runs at a strike rate of 127.16.

Jadeja followed the path of veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who announced retirement post winning the T20 Wc.
