Kalyani : Haryana defeated Bengal by 284 runs at Bengal Cricket Academy Ground, Kalyani and knocked Bengal out of Ranji Trophy 2024-25.
Haryana started Day 3 on 158-2, leading by 191 runs. Himanshu Rana (72) & Nishant Sindhu (80), along with vital contributions from lower order put Haryana to mammoth 336, setting 370 runs target for Bengal. The lanky tall Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal of Bengal bagged 5-fer.
Bengal chasing 370 runs, got bundled out for just 85 runs. Haryana pace duo of Anshul Kamboj & Anuj Thakral grabbed 4-fers and dismantled Bengal’s Batting lineups and qualification hopes.
Thakral was adjourned man of the match for his 10 wickets against Bengal.
