Expressing his delight, Maninder said in an interview, “I am very happy to be back. I will look to perform even better than last season and Bengal Warriorz has always been a home to me. The team is like a family and I have played with them for 6 years, so I am very happy to be back.”
Last season Bengal finished at 7th position & narrowly missed out playoffs chance. However, Maninder was starred with 197 raid points in 21 matches, although, Bengal released him ahead of this year’s auction, eventually retained the raider in the auction using FBM. Despite Maninder’s consistency, Bengal Warriorz didn’t taste success since their title win in 2019.
However, in this year’s auction, besides retaining Maninder, Bengal also brought Iranian star defender Fazel Atrachali.
With such strength in defense and raid, Bengal might bring hopes to their fans.
