Barcelona :Ansu Fati scored for FC Barcelona on his return from injury, as Barcelona defeated Levante at Camp Nou 3-0. Ansu Fati returned to pitch after 10 months and scored when he was subbed on during the last 10 minutes of the game.

Ronald Koeman was away from the sideline as he received a red card during their previous match in the league. Although it was a big match for the Dutch coach, who was under pressure due to the poor performance from the Catalan side. Things eased up with the convincing victory.

Memphis Depay, opened the scoring for Barça from the spot kick on seven minutes. Levante’s Nemanja Radoja made a clumsy mistake inside the box, as Depay won the penalty as well as converted it. Barcelona doubled their lead soon afterwards with Luuk de Jong debut goal for the Blaugranas.

Luuk de Jong, joined Barcelona from Sevilla on the final day of transfer window, after a couple of below average cameo the Dutch forward scored his first goal infront of the home crowd. Sergino Dest assisted his debut goal.

Although, it was Ansu Fati’s return which rang across Camp Nou the most. Fati was subbed on at the 80th minute mark and the home crowd gave him a welcome to remember with the crowd chanting his name and cheering on.

Barça’s new No.10 did not disappoint the crowd, as he scored the third goal for his team during the stoppage time. His final 10 minutes cameo even won him the Man of The Match award.

Following the win, Fati said to media, “When we play at home we always have to win. I am happy with the victory. We still have a long way to go.”

“I want to show my appreciation to the doctors and the physios that have been with me throughout this process. And also to the fans, who were incredible.”

Since Leo Messi vacated the No.10 shirt, the legacy was passed on to Fati who like Messi is also a La Masia graduate. On being asked whether wearing the legendary No.10 of FC Barcelona was an added pressure, Fati replied, “Not for me. It’s an honour to wear it after Leo, I’m grateful to the club and the captains for giving me the chance to wear it. It’s not pressure. I am grateful to take on a number that has given this club so much.”
