Kolkata: Ask anyone who would win between Mike Tyson and a shark? The question seems probably weird and among those unanswered questions that people are curious to know. Nevertheless, fans have the answer after the 54-year-old boxing icon was filmed putting a shark to sleep. 

The show is for Discovery Channel where Tyson had to put a shark to sleep by tickling its nose going 50 feet underwater scuba diving. Tyson was said to have vomited and had to be admitted as he was ‘scared to death’ before accomplishing his goal. The submerged kicks of Discovery Channel’s ‘Shark Week’.

The legendary boxer took on the sharks for an interval of three bouts in a conflict named ‘Tyson vs Jaws’. In the initial part of the challenge, Tyson was seen cage-diving with lemon sharks. Later in the second round, the pressure was accelerated a little with an open ocean dip where Tyson was asked to push the sharks carefully just to avoid any risk of them getting too close to him.

Just then Tyson heaved and it was not even the final stage by that time, which challenged him to get hold of the shark and strive to incite in the process he restored his stiffness. And after he sank almost 50 feet underwater without a cage, he endured it by clenching its nose as it swam prior to him.

To capture the whole thing, a camera was again placed on the shark’s fin as Tyson proceeded to tickle its nose, and after fulfilling the task, he has been finally announced as the ‘Undisputed Champion of the Shark’.

Tyson had to go to the Bahamas for the challenge. And this comes in just before his comeback bout against Roy Jones Jr. He also disclosed that the ‘Shark Week’ show enabled him to overcome his apprehensions and also made him competent for his scheduled return to the ring.

He confessed: “I took on this challenger to overcome fears I still deal with in life. I equate this with overcoming my fear of getting back into the ring at 54 years old. I learned from this experience doing Shark Week that whatever intimidates me.

“I am still able to step up to the challenge of overcoming anything that would prevent me from accomplishing my life’s mission of reaching my highest potential in life and bringing me closer to God.”
