Camp Nou: Lionel Messi scored a beauty, while Clement Lenglet and Luis Suarez chipped with one each as Barcelona deposed Napoli 3-1 on Saturday (August 8) at Camp Nou and move into Champions League last eight on a 4-2 aggregate. The Catalans will face Bayern Munich in their 13th consecutive tournament quarterfinals.
Quique Setién and boys had an unstable start but later took the lead through a powerful Lenglet header in the 10th minute. 13 minutes later came the Messi magic as he scored a superb goal seeing off four defenders to curl the ball into the far bottom corner.

Messi was in action again when he turned complete teamwork into the net but was harshly cancelled following a VAR review. The match was almost over for Barcelona before the halftime Suarez converted from the spot.
Napoli reduced the margin when Lorenzo Insigne converted the spot-kick minutes before the halftime. Napoli played better football than the Catalans during the second half but Barca managed to survive the clash and are now ready to face Bayern in Lisbon next Friday.

“We got the result we wanted. We’ve spent two weeks preparing for the game, knowing how difficult it would be and so it proved as they made it tough for us in certain moments. We were taken by surprise at the start but we scored first. If they had scored it would have caused uncertainty but we managed the game well,” said Suarez.
