Madrid : Carlo Ancelotti joined Real Madrid after Zinedine Zidane announced his departure. The 61 year old Italian will be returning back to La Liga after Florentino Pérez missed out on Massimiliano Allegri, as he signed for Juventus.

Ancelotti’s sudden decision to leave Everton has left them in disarray as the coach still had three years left on his contract, which he signed in the December of 2019. He just stayed with the club for 18 months and Everton would have to look for their sixth manager in past five years.

Ancelotti’s previous stint with Real Madrid was laden with success after he succeeded Jose Mourinho in 2013 as he won Champions League, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. The former Juventus, Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain coach is a fan favourite.

He now would be replacing former assistant Zidane. He signed a three years contract with Real Madrid and is about to be presented on Wednesday (June 2).
