Kochi: Kerala Blasters FC announced the signing of former Premier League forward Gary Hooper for their forthcoming season of Indian Super League (ISL). Hooper made his senior debut with the Grays Athletic in 2004, where he netted 12 goals in 30 appearances and helped the club win the Conference South league.
After his good form in Scunthorpe, in 2010 the striker made a place in Celtic FC. He led Celtic to fetch the Scottish Cup in his first season at the club. 2012-13 was Hooper’s best season as the striker scored 31 goals from his 51 appearances.

Having signed for Norwich City FC he played in the English Premier League.“I am really looking forward to the next chapter in my career with Kerala Blasters. Hooper’s joining will give Kerala Blasters a mix of footballing expertise along with experience which will help the young team steer strong for the upcoming season.
