Goa: With five points behind from their nearest rivals ATK Mohun Bagan who have been sitting at the top of the table, Mumbai City FC would be looking for a win over Jamshedpur FC on Saturday at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco.

Jamshedpur had a disappointing season after a good start. They lost their way in the mid-season due to a lack of depth in their squad giving away easy matches losing their way into the league.

With an unfortunate loss to the table-toppers ATKMB in their last match, the Jamshedpur coach Oyen Coyle has been focused prior to this match against Mumbai. “We cannot certainly look to relying on certain people to score goals,” said Coyle in the pre-match press conference. He further added, “We need people from different areas this is one area we need to continue to work on.”

“We have to make sure that we will look to finish our season strong. We have to go for the six points and get on to 27. As three teams fighting for the four spot having 27 points, we have the same chance of reaching that total, and we still have to play against BFC, who are just in front of us. So a lot to play for. We have to secure full points in the last two games,” Coyle added.

Mumbai have enjoyed a long spell at the top of the table but recently lost their way after losing out their way in their last five matches. The defeat to Bengaluru FC was the most difficult one to swallow for the players and the team management.

With ATKMB going past them with five continuous victories the Islanders would be looking for a fightback on Saturday against Jamshedpur. With Hugo Boumous missing they have to rely on Adam Le Fondre and Bartholomew Ogbeche for goals.

“I feel as always we need to work and continue improving in some aspects of the game,” said Mumbai coach Sergio Lobera. He further added, “We had a lot of chances to score. The most important thing is to know that we can improve. We need to put our focus on our future game. If you need to win a game, you need to play as a team.”
