Jamshedpur FC end season on a high; beat Bengaluru FC

Goa: Things ended well for Jamshedpur FC as they defeated Bengaluru FC 3-2 in the last Indian Super League encounter this season at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco on Thursday. Stephen Eze, Seiminlen Doungel and David Grande were on target for Jamshedpur while it was Fran Gonzalez and Sunil Chhetri for Bengaluru.

Nigerian Eze opened the scoring for Jamshedpur in the 16th minute from an Aitor Monroy free-kick. In the 34th minute, Len doubled the lead. Jamshedpur were 3-0 up in the 41st minute, this time it was Grande and again from a Monroy free-kick.

In the second half, Bengaluru reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute via Gonzalez — the Spaniard’s first goal of the season. Chettri scored the second goal in the 71st minute and also his 100th for the club since his joining in 2013.
