ISL 2022-23 : Emami East Bengal unveils team jersey

Kolkata: Emani East Bengal jersey for the season 9 of Indian Super League. The Kolkata giants took a local Durga Puja ground at Rajdanga Naba Uday Sangha. The happening took place in the presence of eminent dignitaries, marquee East Bengal players, select players of the East Bengal ISL Team and Head Coach Stephen Constantine.

The Home, Away, and the Third jerseys were presented by VP Suhair, Cleiton Silva & Souvik Chakrabarti.

East Bengal FC has a very strong emotional connection with the people of Bengal, thus unveiling of the team’s jerseys amidst Bengal’s biggest cultural festival – Durga Puja was a step forward to reach out to the football lovers.

The veteran footballers of the club wearing their own jerseys from their glorious past, handed over the Club’s flag in a symbolic gesture of passing on their legacy to the current players, as each of the Jerseys was unveiled along with the story behind the threads.

Jersey Themes of 2022:

The Home shirt is a throwback to the jersey worn in 1996, when Emami was the East Bengal Club’s primary sponsor. which the squad enjoyed a fantastic period. The goal of recreating the jersey’s look is to give the club some of the momentum from that winning streak.

The Away kit is an expression of adoration and gratitude for all the honours and trophies the Club has received over the course of its century-long history. The team will stand out clearly when playing away games thanks to its crisp white shirt with stars on it.

What distinguishes the team is symbolised by the Third outfit. The desire and fire to be the best, along with the nurturing of this fire, give the Club its own unique personality.

The self-designed “Mashaal” (“hand with the torch”) insignia on the blue and white jersey makes it stand out in terms of appearance and feel.

The Coach and technical Jersey were unveiled by Actor, Parambrata Chatterjee and Team Head Coach, Stephen Constantine.

The occasion was also graced by Mr. Javed Ahmed Khan, Hon’ble Minister for Disaster Management, Government Of West Bengal, Mr. Susanta Ghosh, Chairman, Borough XIII, Legacy Legends Players, Manoranjan Bhattacharjee, Bhaskar Ganguly & Mihir Bose, Actors, Mr. Neel Bhattacharya & Ms. Trina Saha, Mr. Sandeep Agrawal and Debabrata Sarkar- Directors, Emami East Bengal, Dr. Shantiranjan Dasgupta- member East Bengal Club, and Ms. Namrata Parekh, CEO, Emami East Bengal along with Olympians, Ms. Poulami Ghatak & Ms. Dola Dola Banerjee and Padmasree, Ms. Bula Chowdhury.

The team will debut in the ISL 2022–23 as East Bengal FC on October 7 in Kochi and on October 12 in Kolkata, respectively, wearing their respective home and away kits. Over the coming days, the season’s tickets will go on sale.
