ISL 2021-22: Jamshedpur FC and Hyderabad FC play out tight draw

Goa: Jamshedpur FC were held by Hyderabad FC in a 1-1 draw in a tight game in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Bambolim Stadium in Goa on Thursday. Red Miners opened the scoring in the 41st minute of the game through Greg Stewart before Bartholomew Ogbeche handed the Nizams their equaliser in the second half.

Stewart ran the show for Jamshedpur in the opening phases with Scot keeping Hyderabad defenders guessing every time he went near the box.

In the 20th minute, it could have easily been a contender for the goal of the tournament ha Stewart scored goal after picking up the ball from midfield off Hitesh Sharma, sprinting all the way into the box and leaving Juanan for dead, but he was denied by the crossbar. However, he finally got his maiden goal ISL just a few minutes before the break. A quick throw-in from the left saw Stewart receive the ball before cutting past four defenders surging into the box. The former Rangers man then a then attempted a curler that slotted its into the top far corner of the goal.

Despite that, the Nizams never lost their rhythm and got their equaliser. A Smart build-up play at the edge of the box before Ogbeche slotted it towards the bottom-right corner after a brilliant one-two with his skipper Joao Victor.The game saw some spirited football as both teams pressed hard for the lead.

Valskis, got a few chances to have a go though Rehenesh TP under the posts kept Hyderabad guessing. Both the sides shared the points though they are unable to find a place in top four till now.
