Manchester: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp expressed to be dissatisfied with Cristiano Ronaldo’s homecoming.

Klopp told Sky Sports : “Am I happy that he is at United? No, I can’t say that.”

Ronaldo made a shocking return to Old Trafford with just a week left for the English transfer window after almost signing derby rivals Manchester City. Klopp admitted to himself thinking of Ronaldo’s return to the Premier League with Pep Guardiola’s side would have been a better prospect.

“I was surprised, not about United, him going in there in the end, but when I first heard the rumours about him wanting to leave Juventus. I had no idea about that.”

“I am not in the Juventus circle when people inform me from time to time about what is going on there, so I was surprised about that.”

“He was going to City and I thought ‘oh, that could be fun for United’ and then, obviously, United stepped in and did it.”

“It’s all fine. It’s a free world and they can do what they want.” he added.

Ronaldo’s addition to the Red Devils’ squad had boosted their game to a large extent which was evidently visible in their encounter against Newcastle United apart from the two goals netted by the Talisman himself.

Asked if he was “too good a player”, the German continued: “Yes, unfortunately.

Ronaldo’s impact has declared woes on arch rivals Liverpool as the Manchester side have established themselves as the title contentders currently sitting at the top of table followed by Chelsea and Liverpool.
