Hyderabad : Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 44 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

SRH being put to Bat first took their typical aggressive approach. Openers Travis Head (67) & Abhishek Sharma (24) started attacking bowlers. After end of 45 runs partnership, Ishan Kishan (106*) joined Head for 85 (39) runs partnership. Ishan continued his heroics and built another 72 (29) runs partnership with Nitish Reddy (30).
Heinrich Klaasen (34) joined him at end for quick 56 (25) partnership.
Ishan smashed ton in his very first match in Orange jersey, with an innings of 106* (47). This included 6 sixes and 11 boundaries. SRH ended their innings on 286-6 (20).
RR chasing 287 runs lost quick 3 wickets (Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Nitish Rana) in the powerplay for 50 runs.
However, Dhruv Jurel (70) & Sanju Samson (66) didn’t give up. They smashed SRH bowlers all over the park, keeping hope alive with 111 (60) runs partnership.However, they too slowed down at middle overs occasionally due to runs pressure.
Despite last efforts of Shimron Hetmyer (42) & Shubham Dubey (34*) comprising 80 (34) partnership, RR could only manage 242-6 (20), falling short by 44 runs.
