Mumbai: After a narrow defeat at the hands of the Punjab Kings the other night, Rajasthan Royals would be looking to get their Indian Premier League campaign back on track when they take on Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium.

However, both sides will be without their one of vital stars. While Royal’s opener Ben Stokes has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Delhi’s Anrich Nortjea and Axar Patel are down with COVID-19.

Royals would be taking the positives from the Punjab game. While new skipper Sanju Samson hit a brilliant century, young Chetan Sakariya was impressive with the ball in hand and in fielding. Sakariya would be missing Stokes’ on-field tips very much.

The other aspect that Royals need to look at is their middle order. In the match against Punjab, everybody got starts but failed to make them big. In the bowling department, Sakariya would like to continue his impressive form along with Mustafizur Rahman, Shreyas Gopal and Riyan Parag.

On the other hand, Delhi would like to continue their winning run. Their openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan were brilliant with the bat striking half-centuries each against Chennai Super Kings. It is expected to have a high run-scoring match, as Wankhede has witnessed totals above 180 in both the games played here.

Delhi chased 189, but Rajasthan fell four runs short while chasing 222. The toss is going to be crucial as dew is a factor that both the teams will watch out for. On a crucial note, Rajasthan have not won their last five last encounters against Delhi.
