Milan: Romelu Lukaku continued his love for goals on Valentine’s day as he completed his 300th career goal-scoring a brace in the first half before assisting one for Lautaro Martinez to propel Inter Milan to beat Lazio 3-1 in Serie A at the San Siro stadium on Sunday (February 14). Sergej Milinkovic Savic added one for visitors. The Nerrazzuri climbed to the top of the tree of the league.

Both sides had their fair share of chances. However, it was Lazio who saw much of the ball possession. Defender Wesley Hoedt gave away a penalty to Inter after the referee penalised his challenge on Martinez. However the decision looked controversial on replay.

Lukaku stepped up sending goalkeeper Pepe Reina the wrong to convert his spot-kick before the Belgian forward again ghosted to take his chance to add another before the half-time firing his shot from inside the box to level himself with Cristiano Ronaldo(16) in the scoring charts for this season.

Lazio pushed hard in the second half getting one back through Millinkovic-Savic whose free-kick took a big deflection on its way to the back of the net. However, Inter kept things tight to hold their lead. Martinez struck the final nail in the coffin after Lukaku squared one for him sealing the deal for his side.
