IND vs NZ, 2nd Test, Day 3 : New Zealand end India’s 12 years undefeated streak at Home in Test Series

Pune : New Zealand defeated India by 113 runs at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune & won the 3 Match Test Series 2-0. Kiwis broke India’s record undefeated Test Series streak after 12 years, 4331 days, etching their name in history Books.

New Zealand started the day with 198-5 & 301 runs lead. Despite Glenn Phillips (41*) striking from one end, Ravindra Jadeja (3/72) & Ravi Ashwin (2/97) quickly bundled them out for 255 runs, setting India a target of 359 runs.

India lost skipper Rohit Sharma (8) early but Yashasvi Jaiswal (77) with positive intend carried out the innings.

However, it was Mitchell Santner yet again who picked up 6 wickets. In his spell of 6/104, he dismissed key players like Jaiswal, Shubman Gill (23), Virat Kohli (17), Sarfaraz Khan (9), Ravi Ashwin (18).

With Jaiswal’s dismissal, Indian Batting fell without scoring much runs.

Ajaz Patel (2/43) took the last wicket of Ravindra Jadeja (42) who tried to carry forward the Indian sinking ship towards the total.

The whole Indian Batting got bundled out for 245 runs, losing by 113 runs, and ended 12 years old streak.
