IND vs NZ, 1st Test, Day 2 : New Zealand pacers bundle India for 46

Bengaluru : New Zealand pace attack bundled India for 46 runs at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, the lowest total in Asia, in Day 2 of 1st Test.

India winning a toss at overcast conditions chose to Bat 1st and didn’t get a time to rejoice in front of premier Kiwi pacers – Tim Southee, Matt Henry, Willam ORourke.

Southee started his day bagging skipper Rohit Sharma’s wicket with an inswinger that ripped off the stumps, the momentum completely shifted towards New Zealand.

Henry and ORourke broke the middle and lower order.

ORourke picked up 4-fer with a spell of 4/22 and included the important wickets of Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah.

Whereas, in form Matt Henry bagged 5-fer , taking crucial wickets of Sarfaraz Khan, Risabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav.

India, who looked clueless right from morning, got bundled out for 46 runs against vicious Kiwi pace trio.

Coming to Bat, New Zealand started off aggressively with Devon Conway (91) showing his class.

Will Young (33) too played a vital knock after skipper Tom Latham’s (15) dismissal.

Despite India picking 3 crucial wickets of Conway, Latham and Young, New Zealand middle order with likes of Rachin Ravindra (22*) & Daryl Mitchell (14*) took the innings further and ended the day with 180-3, leading by 134 runs.
