Kolkata : BCCI announced 18 members squad for 5 match Border Gavaskar Trophy starting from November 15, 2024 to January 3, 2025.
The Batting department is packed with skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal in opening line up, followed by Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Abhimanyu Easwaran, KL Rahul, Risabh Pant, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel.
All rounders like Ravi Ashwin , Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja, youngster Nitish Kumar Reddy are set to play vital roles in both Batting and Bowling departments.
The rest of the squad comprises of pace batteries Jasprit Bumrah, the vice captain, Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana.
Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini and Khaleel Ahmed are roped in the travelling reserves. Sadly, Kuldeep Yadav was unavailable for selection due to long term left groin issue resolution.
