London: An early own goal by Liverpool custodian Alisson Becker ended their 25 games unbeaten run as West Ham secure a 3-2 win over them in the Premier League

Liverpool registered their first loss of the season at the hands of West Ham at London Stadium in a five-goal thriller.

Klopp’s men conceded a goal as early as the fourth minute when keeper Becker punched a corner taken by Pablo Fornals into their own net. Although there was a lot of goalmouth action, Liverpool didn’t have the chance to equalize until the 41st minute when Trent Alexander Arnold channeled his inner talent and curled a shot past Lukasz Fabianski.

Fornals put West Ham ahead again on the 67th minute when a ball lost by Sadio Mané was delivered to him by Jarrod Bowen. Bowen took a perfect corner some seven minutes later which Zouma headed in the net, much to the dismay of the Brazilian goalkeeper extending the lead for the hosts.

Although Origi pounced on a loose ball to pull a goal back for the visitors, they could not leave with any points. With the win, West Ham move to third place in the league following Manchester City while Liverpool climb down to fourth.

In other matches of the day, Arsenal overtook Manchester United to reach the 5th position with 20 points with a 1-0 win over Watford at Emirates. Emil Smith Rowe scored the only goal of the night.
