Ellyse Perry’s lone battle goes in vain as Mumbai Indians clinch last over thriller against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in WPL 2025

Bengaluru : Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 4 Wickets at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru in WPL 2025 encounter.

Batting first, RCB began losing wickets at regular interval of time. Veteran Aussie allrounder Ellyse Perry smashed 81(43) comprising 2 sixes and 11 boundaries, but didn’t get any support from other end. RCB ended their innings on 167-7 (20). MI pacer Amanjot Kaur bagged 3-fer.

Chasing 168, MI despite top order Batter Nat Sciver-Brunt (42) played handy knock, but suddenly run flow slowed down with middle order fumbling at one point of time, as a result, MI were reduced to 82-4 (9.1).

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (50) played vital knock along with Amanjot Kaur (34*), building 62 (49) runs partnership. After Kaur and Sajana’s dismissal in 18th over of Georgia Wareham, who picked 3-fer, MI were struggling at 144-6.

However, Amanjot and G Kamalini (11*), who ensured MI past the total in 5th Ball of the last over smashing a boundary towards covers to Ekta Bist. Amanjot bagged Player of the match.
