Indian veteran wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik has announced retirement from all forms of Cricket June 1.
His retirement was probably on the cards when he announced his IPL retirement prior to the 2024 season.
He posted his retirement news on his social media accounts, via a writing and video.

He wrote : ” Having given it plenty of thought for some time now, I have decided to move on from playing representative cricket. I officially announce my retirement and put my playing days behind me as I square up for the new challenges that lie ahead.
I’d like to thank all my coaches, captains, selectors, teammates and members of the support staff who have made this long journey enjoyable. Among millions that play the sport in our country, I consider myself one of the luckiest to have had the chance to represent my country.”
The Indian Wicket keeper has represented his nation in 180 International Matches making his debut in 2004 , he had been in and out of Indian team. In 180 Matches he has 3463 international runs and 172 dismissals to his name.
