North Sound: A captain indeed plays an important role in the progress of any team. It is the captain who takes many good decisions and tries to take his team forward to win. India U-19 captain Yash Dhull did something similar.

Under his captaincy, India won their fifth World Cup title thus joining the elite list that includes Mohammad Kaif, Virat Kohli, Unmukt Chand and Prithvi Shaw. Yash Dhull-led India beat England by four wickets on Sunday to lift the fifth title.

Dhull stated the key was to keep minds cool and remain focused despite England’s comeback. “It’s a proud moment for India. It was good batting and a good comeback by England. But we kept cool minds and focused,” Yash Dhull said after the win.

“It was difficult at the start to get the combination right, but as time went on we became a family and the team atmosphere was good. It is a team effort, backing players is a sign of a good team,” Yash Dhull added.

Dhull also revealed that he is aware that his life could now change drastically after guiding India to a record-extending fifth title. But the Delhi lad does not want the fame to ruin his focus from the game.

“I want to play cricket only. The focus will be on the game, the rest of the things will take care of themselves. I will take it match-by-match. Let’s see what happens,” the 19-year-old concluded.
