New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the ongoing Indian Premier League for the time being after a sudden rise of COVID-19 positive reports have sprung up.
As per sources, Sunrisers Risers Hyderabad wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha was the latest to join the list as his side was getting ready to play Mumbai Indians on Tuesday(May 4).
While according to BCCI officials, Delhi Capitals spinner Amit Mishra has also been tested positive. Two matches were rescheduled back to back after four people got infected in the last 3 days with KKRâs Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier alongside CSKâs Laxmipathy Balaji testing positive for Covid-19.
But after, the reports of Wriddhiman and Mishra came out, BCCI opted for discontinuing the ongoing tournament.
