Suresh Raina opens up on his uncle’s murder

Pathankot: Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina finally breaks his silence, on Tuesday he demanded a proper inquiry for the violent attack on his aunt’s family in Pathankot. Where he had lost his uncle and his cousin and rest are injured.

On Tuesday (September 1) the 33 year old took to his twitter account to issue a plea to the Punjab police and the concerned authorities to look into this matter and demand justice for his family. In his twitter statement he wrote “What happened to my family is Punjab was beyond horrible. My uncle was slaughtered to death, my Bua (Aunt) & both my cousins had severe injuries. Unfortunately my cousin also passed away last night after battling for life for days. My Bua is still very very critical & is on life support.”

“Till date we don’t know what exactly had happened that night & who did this. I request @PunjabPoliceInd to look into this matter. We at least deserve to know who did this heinous act to them. Those criminals should not be spared to commit more crimes.” His tweet read.

The incident took place on August 19, Raina’s relatives were brutally attacked on Thariyal village in Punjab’s Pathankot district. His uncle died on the day of attack and last night his cousin also died. His aunt were fighting for her life in the hospital. He returned to country last week after quitting IPL 13 for this incident. This year IPL will start from September 19 in UAE.
