Kolkata : BCCI has made some changes in venues for India’s home tour against Bangladesh and England.
India vs Bangladesh change
The 1st T20I between India and Bangladesh was supposed to be played at Dharamshala , but now will be played at Gwalior.
This is because of “upgrades and renovation work being carried out by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association in the dressing rooms,” according to a BCCI statement.
This match will be played on October 6 in the newly built Shrimat Madhavrao Scindia Stadium, Gwalior.
India vs England change
There’s also swap in venues in the home tour against England in January.
Despite the dates (22 & 25th January) remaining same, the 1st T20I of 22nd January will now be played in Eden Gardens. The 2nd T20I on 25th January will take place in Chennai. The earlier schedule was the opposite.
“The venue change was necessitated following a request from Kolkata Police to the Cricket Association of Bengal regarding their prior Republic Day commitments and obligations,” the BCCI said.
The Bangladesh series will start from September 19 to October 12 , comprising 2 Tests and 3 T20Is. On other hand, the England series will start on January 22 to February 12 , comprising 5 T20Is & 3 ODIs.
