Manchester United Training Session

Manchester : After an entertaining first week of Premier League’s resumption, Manchester United are set to play their opening match of the season against Crystal Palace, at  Old Trafford, on Saturday. United finished the last season strongly and are hoping to do something special this season.

United has been busy in the transfer market, as they have missed out some big names but has managed Donny Van De Beek from Ajax. Even the addition of Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has made their team and the bench stronger. United will be a bit dependent on their Portuguese maestro, Bruno Fernandes, who has brought a revolution in the club since his joining in January. Bruno has been training hard as this will be his first full season as an United player. Marcus Rashford has been the main goal scorer for the side last season as he scored twice against Chelsea in the opening match of last season, so the fans would look up to Rashford for goals. Even Anthony Martial, has been a revelation as a centre forward last season for the club. He will be a man to watch out for.

French star-man Paul Pogba has been declared fit as he has been tested negative for Covid-19 and it has been a week since he is back in training. He might not start but can come in the later half of the match to make a difference. Phil Jones is still out with injury, the only concern for United.

United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer said this in the pre-match press conference, “The players are at different stages. Mentally, I think everyone’s ready. Physically, they’re at a different stage, some of them have played more games than others. So we’ll have to be clever and good about when to play players because we know this period now, until the first international, is a hugely important one. We need points and the players need games but some of them haven’t trained enough or had enough football. Some of them have been in quarantine, it’s just one of these situations which we’ve adapted to really well before and the players have done well.”

The predicted United side can be
De Gea
Wan-Bissaka Lindelöf Maguire Williams Matic Pogba/Fred
Greenwood B. Fernandes Rashford
Martial

Even the players know that a winning start can be a perfect boost to the season, so that they can challenge the top-half teams like City and Liverpool. United haven’t lost their first game in last four seasons, and they would want to make it five in a row. A confident side from last season, who wants to prove that they can bring back the glory days at the Old Trafford.
