Kolkata: ATK Mohun Bagan have snapped in youngster Nongdamba Naorem in a swap deal from Kerala Blasters. As per reports, the 20-year-old will join the Mariners on a six-month loan deal until end of the season with an option of making a permanent move which also includes striker Subha Ghosh going in the opposite direction as a part of the deal.
Nongdamba was one of stand out players for Mohun Bagan (before the merger with ATK) in their I-League-winning campaign last season and was expected to be a key player for the Kerala side but things didn’t turn out well as he only featured in three games so far accumulating just 183 minutes of game time.
ATK were looking to sign the youngster at the start of the season but the deal didn’t finalise with coach Antonio Habas hoping that his return to the squad will add more dynamism alongside Roy Krishna on whom they heavily rely.
