Amsterdam: The winning goal scorer of the 2014 World Cup final Mario Goetze has signed for PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer. After his 21 appearances with Borussia Dortmund last season, the 28-year old German was released by the club in June. Goetze has signed for a two-year contract with the Dutch club on Tuesday (October 6).
Goetze being trained at Dortmund’s Youth Academy joined arch-rivals Bayern Munich in 2013. He later joined the Ruhr Valley Club in 2016 but failed to find a regular spot, and was later allowed to leave. He had played 63 matches for Germany, scoring the most important goal in the 2014 World Cup against Lionel Messi-led Argentina.

The attacking midfielder was struggling to return in form but was put down by injuries and his metabolic conditions put things in the worse.
