Wolves grab Barcelona defender Nelson Semedo

WOLVERHAMPTON: Portuguese fullback Nelson Semedo has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from FC Barcelona. As per reports, the deal has been agreed for a fee of 30m euros with 10m euros ad-on. Wolves signed him on a three-year deal with an option for another two years.

Wolves unveiled Nelson on social media on Wednesday with chairman Jeff Shi quoting about the transfer “It’s isn’t often that we have the opportunity to sign a world-class player from a world-class club.”

The 26 year old right back, considered as one of the best in the world in his position started his career at SL Benfica before moving to the Camp Nou back in 2017 and making 124 appearances for the Blaugranas in overall while playing 42 games last season in which he registered 6 assists.

Eternally grateful.” Semedo posted on social media biding his farewell to FC Barcelona.
