Kolkata: India’s new T20I skipper Rohit Sharma could not control his sentiments seeing Deepak Chahar’s deadly knock against New Zealand in the 3rd T20I match in Eden Gardens.

Deepak played a startling knock of 21 runs off just 8 balls, and impressed one and all with his power-hitting shots. Chahar smashed 4, 4, 2, 6, 2, 1 – 19 runs off the last over and took the limelight and even got saluted by India’s T20I skipper in the dressing room. Since then the videos and pictures of Sharma appreciating the blockbuster cameo of Chahar have been going viral on the internet.

New Zealand’s Adam Milne became the victim of Chahar’s delivery in the last over. While his knock was stunning in every way, it was the maximum off Milne which was perhaps the shot of the match.

The Men in Blue finished off their campaign with 184 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
