Centurion: Be it off-field or on the field, Virat Kohli is a proven entertainer. Of course, most eyes are on him when the India Test captain is batting, but even when Kohli is fielding, there is no shortage of fun.

Kohli’s on-field banters both friendly and serious reactions and facial expressions are a treat for his fans, they have even made for some of the funniest memes on social media. Perhaps after Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, it is Kohli, who invokes a plethora of reactions out of fans.

You can never keep Kohli out of action. When not batting, the 33-year-old batter will keep the onlookers engaged with his mannerisms. One such incident took place on Day 3 of the first Test between India and South Africa in Centurion on Monday, when the stump mic caught Kohli using an iconic catchphrase from former WWE star The Rock.

Bumrah had to go off the field after twisting his right ankle during a follow-through in his sixth over and missed much of the second session. After receiving treatment, Bumrah came back onto the field. Watching him return was a sight Indian fans would have loved given how nasty the ankle twist looked.

The pacer was welcomed uniquely by Indian skipper Kohli, which was heard on the stump mic. “Finally, the Rock has come back,” Kohli was heard saying and fans couldn’t help but notice. Unsurprisingly, the comment soon went viral among fans. Check out some of the reactions here:

The phrase had become quite popular after being used by wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. He had used the phrase after marking his comeback to the ring in 2011, after an 8-year-long absence.

Bumrah had marked his return on the field when South Africa was 144/7. Bumrah didn’t immediately start bowling as he had to spend some time on the field before being eligible to bowl again. He returned and provided two of the South African wickets and claim two wickets in the innings while bowling just 7.2 overs, bagging the wickets of Dean Elgar and Keshav Maharaj, which was a huge sigh of relief for the India team for the rest of the series.

In Bumrah’s absence during the innings, the other Indian pacers did well, with Mohammed Shami emerging as the pick of them with a fifer. Shardul Thakur claimed two wickets while Mohammed Siraj bagged one wicket respectively.
