Villarreal hold Real Madrid to a draw, as both the teams retain their spot in the League table

Villarreal : Villarreal FC hosted Real Madrid C.F in Estadio de la Cerámica on Saturday (21 November). This was the first match after the players returned from international duty. The match ended  in a draw  with a score line of 1-1.

Mariano Diaz, gave his team an early lead when he scored within 120 minutes of the game. Real Madrid went up 1-0 up and this score line remained the same till 76 minutes.

Villarreal lacked the spark, they were unable to find the goal as Real Madrid looked comfortable up till the 60th minute of the game. Unai Emery made changes and the introduction of Samu Chukwueze and Pervis Estupinan, with the introduction of fresh legs Villarreal pressed more.

Gerard Moreno scored from the spot, after Thibaut Courtois committed a foul on Nigerian striker Samu. The points were shared by the two teams as they retained their spot in the league table with Villarreal at second position and Real Madrid at fourth spot.
