New head sir Xavi sets up new rules upon arrival at Barcelona

Barcelona: Club legend Xavi Hernandez replaced Ronald Koeman as the Barcelona head coach and has allegedly already set up a few new rules for the players to abide by as he started the process of resurrection of the club of his life.

The fans and everyone related to the club felt like getting their dream come true when Xavi landed in Barcelona to take over the club in the shambles. Many of the players like Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto, and Ter Stegen have formerly shared the field with Xavi and there is no one better than him to lead them. However, upon arrival, Xavi had made some rules, for the players to abide by.

 

According to Spanish daily Dario Sport, the rules are as follow:

1. Players must arrive for training at least an hour and a half early.

2. Staff must arrive at least two hours early.

3. Players must eat at Ciutat Esportiva.

4. Fines will be in place for lateness and will multiply per offence.

5. No arriving home after 12am within 48 hours of a game.

6. Starting spots awarded completely based on performances in training. There are no guarantees for any players.

7. Risky activities (such as surfing) are prohibited during the season.

Players must represent Barcelona properly whether they are around the club or away on holiday.

With the international break underway, Xavi could have only five first team players in the first training session , but football fans around the world could not get over the nostalgia of seeing Xavi wearing a shirt with Barcelona crest.
