Kolkata: Former Arsenal and Barcelona star Thierry Henry issued a warning to Paris Saint-Germain after the Ligue 1 club roped in Lionel Messi on a two-year deal. Barcelona failed to hold Messi due to the complications in the La Liga Financial Fair Play rules.

“Balance is the most important thing. In a moment, we always talk about the best players, attacking, advancing. But there has to be a balance,” Henry said. Messi joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side and could be seen pairing up with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the front.

“We talk about the team in which I played at Barca (with Eto’o and Messi) but people forget we didn’t let in many goals. In general, the teams that don’t let in many goals aren’t far from titles or Champions Leagues,” he added reminiscing about his time in Barcelona under Pep Guardiola which is often termed as one of the best teams of all times.

Henry, who is also one of the staff in the Belgium national side, felt that Pocchetino must find a proper balance to yield results from this star-studded squad. “When you have superhuman players it’s a bit easier but when I see how Paris are doing at the moment, they are letting in a few too many goals for me. It’s true, they’re missing players but the balance is the most important thing,” he added.
