Goa: Jamshedpur FC made a mark in the Indian Super League as they beat Bengaluru FC 1-0 at the Jahawarlal Stadium in Fatorda on Monday. The goal scored by their Nigerian defender Stephen Eze helped Owen Coyle’s side to register their third victory of the season.

The match was important for both sides as Bengaluru wanted to keep themselves in the top three after their disappointing result against ATK Mohun Bagan. Jamshedpur on the other hand wanted to win this from an unfortunate result against FC Goa in their last match.

The match started with Bengaluru attacking hard to pick up a goal from the first minute. But credit must be given to Jamshedpur goalie TP Rehenesh as he made some crucial saves and kept his side into the contest.

Jackichand Singh came close to score for Jamshedpur but Gurpreet Singh Sandhu was equal to the effort as he denied a header from the winger. In the second half, Jamshedpur started to press more men upfront and looked more dangerous. Eze clinched the victorious goal in the 79th minute from a header and that made the difference between the two sides.

Coyle will be a happy man after this victory. As he was truly disappointed against the decisions made by the officials in their last match. Carles Cudrat on the other hand will be disappointed as his team has now faced back-to-back defeats after remaining six matches unbeaten this season.
