Goa: A last-minute goal from Scott Neville helped SC East Bengal avoid defeat against Kerala Blasters on Friday at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco as the match ended 1-1. Certainly, the East Bengal team would be happy as they continue their unbeaten run in the ISL. It was just the taste of the similar medicine which the Blasters gave them at Bambolim in the first leg.

The match started well for the Blasters as they came close to score in the seventh minute but Jordan Murry failed to score for his side. They continued to attack but failed to score and East Bengal on the other hand were under pressure as their midfield were finding it difficult to get hold of the game.

The second half started with a spark, as Murry opened the score for the Blasters in the 64th minute from a long ball from Albino Gomes. East Bengal brought in Anthony Pilkington in place of Matti Steinmann and they started to attack. Yet they were still finding it difficult to open the goalmouth.

In the 94th minute, Neville equalised from a Bright Enobakhare corner and it helped the Red and Gold Brigade to avoid defeat.
