Goa: Roy Krishna and Manvir Singh scored two goals each as ATK Mohun Bagan trounce Odisha FC 4-1 at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim on Saturday. For Odisha, Cole Alexander netted the only goal.
The match started at a fast pace as ATKMB looked threatening from the word go. Manvir opened the scoring in the 11th minute, a left-footed curler from outside the box to slot it into the top corner. Odisha needed something special to return into the game.
South African import Alexander provided the much-needed equaliser with a wonderful strike on the brink of the first half. A riveting contest was expected in the second half and as said Manvir added the second on 54 minutes to give ATKMB the lead.
Odisha tried everything thereafter to equalise but the ATKMB defence was strong as a rock. Krishna scored the third in the 83rd minute before adding another three minutes later to complete a resounding victory.
