Mumbai: Indian ace-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took social media by surprise as he announced the delightful news of his engagement with Dhanashree Verma. The couple shared the pictures from their engagement ceremony on their respective social media profiles and received a lot of wishes from all over the world.
Chahal has been quite active on social media during the ongoing COVID-19 break and the news of his engagement came as a surprise to many. As soon as Chahal broke out the news of his engagement, Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, and many more posted warm wishes for the newly-engaged couple.

Chahal’s India teammate Rohit Sharma also sent his wishes to the ace spinner with a hilarious tweet. Rohit shared a hilarious meme where an old and a young RCB fan can be seen together. Notably, the face of the old man resembles that of Chahal’s. The post read, “Yuzvendra Chahal with a youngster in IPL 2050,”
Rohit captioned the post, “Bhai congrats on your engagement. Best wishes @yuzi_chahal.” This is not the first time Rohit has trolled Chahal while wishing him. The ‘Hitman’ had earlier called the spinner a ‘national treasure’ while wishing him on his 30th birthday last month. Rohit and Chahal will return to action soon for their respective sides in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is all set to get underway in Dubai from September 19.
