Florida: SummerSlam episode of WWE Raw from the WWE ThunderDome at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, witnessed a sudden rise in it’s viewership in comparison to last week. As stated by Show buzz daily, Raw had an average of 2.028 million viewers in its three-hour broadcast and that rose up from 1.643 million during the last week.

The last episode of RAW on Monday was the first to originate from the ThunderDome, which comprised of pyrotechnics, lasers, and rows of LED boards that starred the faces of the fans who watched it from their respective homes. The ThunderDome benefited in the increase in ratings for SmackDown as well last week and in the process assisted in the recreation of an atmosphere for SummerSlam.

Talking about the main event of Raw which saw Rey Mysterio team up with his son, Dominik Mysterio, for his first-ever match and that too against Seth Rollins and Murphy after Dominik tugged Rollins to his limit the night ahead at SummerSlam. Though it was a match worth a watch, it was halted by the return of Retribution, as the group of mystery wrestlers suddenly appeared and slammed down Rey and Dominik at the end of the show.

The very first part of the night was a promo by the WWE champion Drew McIntyre which followed his win against Randy Orton at SummerSlam. McIntyre also announced that he is ready to bestow Orton a rematch but all of a sudden the Viper pounced on him from behind and also attacked him in the head twice. When Orton went to the ring the same night to cut a promo later, he was halted by Keith Lee, a very close friend of Drew, and that is what set the stage for a match to be conducted between them. Orton had won the match by disqualification when McIntyre intervened and counter-attacked him, but Orton got an advantage by attacking him again, which directly injured him to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

A Raw Women’s Championship rematch between Asuka and Sasha Banks had also been conducted after Asuka had defeated Banks for the title prior to this night. Bayley tried to help her friend, but she was hindered by Shayna Baszler, who allowed Asuka to defend by submission. Sasha already declined the Raw Women’s Championship, and currently, she and Bayley are at risk of losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles as well since Baszler and Nia Jax have established a troubled partnership and have also challenged them for a match for the championships at Payback this Sunday.

Furthermore on the show, Aleister Black apparently turned the tables by barging an attack on Kevin Owens at his KO Show, and then Hurt Business damaged shop on Raw Underground after Apollo Crews fooled to beat Bobby Lashley in an arm-wrestling competition.
