Rey Mysterio eyes comeback at Monday Night RAW

Rey Mysterio had been mired in contract negotiations with the WWE. The obsolete WWE Champion had been said to be out of activity since Extreme Rules. WWE is poking fun at the TV return of Rey making assumptions on the statements that are widely reported. The organisation published an article on WWE.com in which they procured an update on Rey’s condition and also implied his retrieval of WWE.

The article said Rey’s return is not confirmed yet. “Rumors have been running rampant that Rey Mysterio is coming to Raw this Monday. Mysterio, of course, has not been seen since suffering a gruesome eye injury at the hands of Seth Rollins in the Eye for an Eye Match at The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules. While the outlook on Mysterio’s recovery has been positive, his reemergence was not expected so soon,” the article read.

“That may have changed after this past Monday on Raw, when The Monday Night Messiah brutally attacked his son Dominik, ruthlessly striking him with a Kendo stick more than two dozen times, screaming at Rey to beg for mercy all the while. Any reports on Mysterio’s return are unconfirmed at this point, but if they’re true, will Rollins be faced with the retribution of a furious father? Find out on Raw, this Monday at 8/7 C on USA!”

Rey’s last match was the ‘Eye for an Eye’ match against Seth Rollins in ‘The Horror Show at Extreme Rules’. The obsolete WWE Champion had been committed to an agreement of negotiations with the company since the last few weeks, and the latest updates on him hinted that he signed a new deal.

On the other hand, his son Dominik is all prepared to make his in-ring debut at SummerSlam against Rollins in a singles match. Mysterio Jr. was beaten with kendo sticks during the last episode of RAW, and Rey even acted upon the brutal attack and pledged to make ‘The Monday Night Messiah’ compensate for his actions.

Rey might return back to RAW for some retaliation, and that’s the right thing to do contemplating the recent status update on the storyline. Rey’s retrieval to RAW shall be confirming his long stay in the company. The reason behind WWE is poking fun at his return is a very explicit sign and we can expect his return probably by next week.
