London: Wolves have confirmed that Raul Jimenez suffered a fractured skull, but is under observation after needing an operation, after a clash with David Luis during the match on Sunday (November 29) against Arsenal.

The Wolves striker was taken to a hospital in London after clashing heads with Luiz. The match ended 2-1 for Wolves, which was overshadowed by this horrible injury. Jimenez was taken off immediately on a stretcher after receiving primary treatment on the pitch and was fitted with an oxygen mask.

“Raul is comfortable following an operation last night, which he underwent in a London hospital. He has since seen his partner Daniela and is now resting. He will remain under observation for a few days while he begins his recovery,” the club informed the media.

“The club would like to thank the medical staff at Arsenal, the NHS paramedics, hospital staff and surgeons who, through their skill and early response, were of such help. The club ask that Raul and his family are now afforded a period of space and privacy, before any further updates are provided in due course.”
