Tashkent : Indian Women played Belarus Women in an international friendly, their second game on the Uzbekistan tour; unfortunately they lost the match 2-1 against their opponents.

Soumya Guguloth controlled the ball and fired a long range effort that rattled the crossbar, just 5 minutes into the game. India came so close to taking an early lead. Belarus missed a great opportunity to take the lead after a spell of pressure. The striker was completely free at the far post but was unable to keep her effort on target.

Both the team walked off the pitch with no goals after the first. With Belarus dominating the game mostly, and India somehow stopping them with stances of good defence. In the second half, Belarus scored on the 50th minute mark but the flag was raised for offside.

Belarus took the lead on 63 minutes through a penalty, which was correctly judged by Aditi Chauhan but she ultimately failed to stop the ball from going past her. Belarus doubled their lead on 76 minutes, a simple through ball and the Indian rearguard was opened up. The defence looked clueless.

During the closing minutes, Sangita Basfore scored a consolation goal to pull one back for India on just the 90th minute mark. It was too late for redemption. Belarus walked away with a deserved win after being the better almost throughout the match.
