Prodigal striker Ishan Pandita joins Jamshedpur FC

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur FC announced the signing of Indian youngster Ishan Pandita from FC GOA on a two year deal that would keep in in the club till May 2023 .

jersey of Jamshedpur.” said the rumoured prodigy after putting pen to paper for the Men of Steel.

Although natively from Jammu and Kashmir , Delhi born Ishan moved to Philippines , and eventually Bangalore before landing in Spain to Kickstart his career. He then moved to CD Leganés becoming the first Indian to sign a professional deal with a La Liga side. He had his stints with Nastic de Tarragona and Lorca FC as well.

Ishan had a prolific Indian Super League debut, scoring 3 goals in 11 appearances for FC GOA. His talent earned him a call in the National team in friendlies against UAE and Oman, where he made his debut in the 1-1 draw against the latter on March 25th.

Jamshedpur Head Coach, Owen Coyle was more than pleased to have Ishan on board and he expressed it thoroughly through his words.

“Ishan had a fantastic season and is now an Indian International player. He was wanted by several clubs, and we are delighted to welcome him to Jamshedpur and fulfill his hunger to score goals. The fans can look forward to a repeat of his heroics from last season and more, with consistent playing opportunities. His addition emphasizes our belief in young Indian players who will have solid opportunities with us to showcase their talent and perform.” said he.

Ishan has received the number 45 on his back and would join the squad soon, for the pre-season ahead of the eighth edition of ISL as Jamshedpur FC take on an endeavor to get their hands on the trophy.
