Paris : India saw a historic day on Day 4 as Manu Bhaker became the 1st Indian to win 2 Olympic Medals in a single day after she and Sarabjot Singh won Bronze in Shooting, 10 M Air Pistol Mixed. Dhiraj Bommadevara crashed out with defeat by barest margins nearly 2 cms and many more actions.

Boxing

-Preeti Pawar loses to Yeni Marcela Arias of Columbia in women’s boxing 54kg round-of-16 bout.

-Jaismine Lamboria loses to Nesthy Petecio of Philippines in women’s boxing 57kg round-of-32 bout.

-Former world number one boxer Amit Panghal bowed out of the Paris Olympics with a 1-4 loss to Zambia’s Patrick Chinyemba in the 51kg pre-quarterfinal bout.

Badminton

-Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty beat Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Ardianto 21-13, 21-13 to advance to quarter-finals as Group C toppers.

-India’s Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto lose to Setyana Mapasa and Angela Yu of Australia 15-21, 10-21 in women’s group-stage match to bow out of the Games.
