Pakistan vs New Zealand, T20 World Cup 2021: Live Streaming, When and Where to Watch

Sharjah: After the historic victory over India last Sunday that broke their 30 year-old World Cup jinx against their neighbours and arch-rivals, Pakistan ready to take on New Zealand in their second game of the T20 World Cup on Tuesday .

Babar Azam and his troops were outstanding in all three departments of the game. Seamer Shaheen Afridi reduced India to 6/2 inside first three overs. Shadab Khan kept the pressure on the batsman in the middle overs, thus not allowing India to change gears. Although Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant did put on a crucial partnership to give India momentum with the Indian skipper scoring a half century to stretch the game but Shaheen Afridi(3/33) dismissed Kohli for 57 to put brakes on runs towards the end and along with that speedster Haris Rauf’s superb death over bowling ensured India only get 151.

In reply, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan made absolute no mistake chasing down the target for Pakistan .The duo took a little risk and kept rotating the strikes regularly while sendinv the ball balls to the boundary ropes whenever they got the opportunity. The duo stayed unbeaten till the very end and their calculative approach meant they guided their side home in just 17.5 overs. Babar scored 68 off 52 balls, while Rizwan smashed a 55 ball 79.

Facing them New Zealand, led by Kane Williamson who had reached the semis in the last edition of the tournament five years back before losing to England, will begin their campaign this time. The Blackcaps lost both their warmup matches against Australia and England, however they are a force to be reckoned with. They have already an ICC tournament in their pocket earlier this year, so they know how play on big events.

In fact, Kane Williamson has all the right tools at his grasp. The top order of his side is boasted with quality with him being a part in that as well alongside T20 specialists such as Martin Guptill, Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips who can take the skin off the leather right from the word go though the middle and lower order have certain issues with consistency despite having the likes of Jimmy Neesham and Tim Seifert.

However, The Blackcaps have one of the most formidable bowling units. The pace attack has variety with Tim Southee and Trent Boult leading the alongside the pacy and direct Lockie Ferguson. As for the spin, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi will have responsibly for that department.
